What is Paintball?
The best way to think of paintball is to imagine an extremely messy long distance game of tag, there are many game styles and elimination rules, but the main premise of the game is the same, tag the opponent with a small ball of paint to remove them from the match.
What Should I Wear?
Honestly you can wear pretty much anything you want to as long as it keeps you safe, but here are some general guidelines.

Be sure to wear clothing that you don't mind getting dirty or torn.

Coveralls can be a good choice especially if you have a special event afterwards, but beware that coveralls can cause you to overheat so be sure to drink plenty of water.

Baggy clothing, even though paintball is getting away from extremely oversized clothing it's still something a lot of players look at because the baggier the material the more energy will be dispersed meaning a little less sting.
So Where Do I Play?
The best place to start is to see if you have a local paintball field in your area, usually there will be others to play with, and the fields will more than likely have rental equipment as well as paint and air so you can keep the games going.
If you don't have a local field, you can almost always play on public forest land that is held by the BLM (Bureo of Land Management) but be sure to get permission from your local Fish and Wildlife department before running up and slinging paint at each other since there may be different rules in place for paintball on in these areas, also be sure to use EXTREME CAUTION since this land will be shared with other outdoor enthusiasts such as hunters and campers.
